Unless you have some type of upgraded alarm an '04 D2 doesn't have "motion activated door locks"...
The only ways those doors are going to lock is if you push the thing on the door down, press the button on the dash, or from the key...
Now there is a thing located above the drivers side B pillar inside which is part of the alarm system (optional part) that supposedly senses air pressure changes in the truck so that if a window gets broken out the alarm will go off. It's activated when the alarm is activated (aka doors locked from key). Is that what you are talking about? _________________ Will Peters - KJ4GIC

My key fob is motion activated at times when it presses against something in my pocket when I'm loading the rover! _________________ 2001 Disco II SD7

The feature I'm talking about is drive-away door locking. I test drove an '02 D2 that locked every door when the vehicle exceeded 4 mph, and the owners manual states that drive-away door locking can be selected or deselected by a Land Rover retailer. The feature also unlocks the doors as soon as the starter switch is turned off. I have also experienced the pocket fob locking and unlocking-no fun. Sorry it took so long-I've been away for the past four days. _________________ Matt Davis

I've never seen that on a D2, but if it can be turned on and off you'll need to go to a dealer and have them do it with testbook... _________________ Will Peters - KJ4GIC

Yeah, I was hoping it wouldn't come to that...I'll just keep doing it manually. Thanks for your input Will. _________________ Matt Davis

| My '00 DII has that feature, although most of my locks don't work. The only lock that works is the trunk. It locks when we get underway, and unlocks when I turn off the truck. I need to replace the actuators for the other doors. I have no idea how to turn it off or on though. |
