Well guys I just moved down to New Orleans a few weeks ago and have now settled in. Still looking for a job to provide income for my rover habits etc... (if anyone knows anyone that would be awesome!) It has been a lot of fun getting down here except for the fact there are few legal left turns out here and doing a lot of u-turns. My rovers suspension gets worked out a lot with all of the potholes around here to. Oh and on another cool note I googled where Rovers Down South is and it is less than 5 miles from where I am at now.
Here is a pic of my dorm.
And a bunch of people think I am "rich" because I own a rover and think I paid 20k for my truck _________________ 1999 Discovery SD "Expedition White"

My post from another forum about last night
New Orleans was a lot of fun! The night started off with me going with a few friends to watch the game. After the win a bunch of us from school decided to drive down to the french quarter where everyone was hanging out of the windows yelling "Who Dat!" with the occasional group just dancing in the streets. Finally found a place to park and had to walk a good mile just to get to the french quarter and started walking down Bourbon Street where we were greeted with mounted police. Our group of 8 quickly dropped to me, a girl, and this other guy because the crowds were so packed. At that point we just linked up arms and I busted through the bottleneck of people and got a slight breather but then at the next block it was just worse and worse to the point that we had to move to the next street over and catch our breath. We met up with the people we left at cafe du monde and made plans to head to Ihop on the other side of town and while we were leaving emergency vehicles were going up and down canal street. Even saw a SWAT truck head down to the heart of the French Quarter. We eventually made it up to the start of Bourbon Street where we entered at earlier and saw another SWAT truck at the entrance with officers keeping watch from the top. All in all I would say it was probaby one of the craziest things I have ever seen. _________________ 1999 Discovery SD "Expedition White"

In NOLA a sporting event is a pretty close second to Mardi Gras. I was in the city during the Sugar Bowl one year. _________________ Becca DuBose, KJ4RVR
